WELCOME to ALVA PETER HAMLYN

ALVA Yachts, the German builder of luxury electric solar catamarans and sail boats, has announced marine specialist and former Oyster Yachts Chief Operating Officer, Peter Hamlyn, as its new COO based out of the brand’s Antalya shipyard.

Following a successful career which started at Princess Yachts in the late 1980s as an apprentice, right through to management spanning a 30 year service before moving to Fairline as Operations Director in 2018 and then Oyster in 2021, Peter joins ALVA at an exciting time as it head towards its first Ocean ECO 60 getting on the water this autumn.

The five moods; Mountain, Forest, Desert, Dune and Sea provide a starting point for customers to start their journey on how they would like their boat to look in terms of colours, fabrics, and materials. Each boat comes with a custom layout and material selection that, teamed with numerous exterior options, results in every customer being allowed to create their own ALVA.

The German based manufacturer of electric yachts and floating solutions has signed contracts with environmentally conscious yachting dealers from across the world. Alva Yachts has seen strong interest from dealer partners in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, Middle East, and ASIA. However North America is particularly strong. This is driven by incredibly strong consumer demand for luxury solar powered catamarans.
